The invention of the steam started the Industrial Revolution. Many factories opened and products were manufactured more cheaply and quickly. Many people moved from rural to urban areas to work in the factories.
Con la invención de la máquina de vapor comenzó la Revolución Industrial. Se abrieron muchas fábricas y los productos se fabricaban de manera más rápida y barata. Mucha gente se fue de los pueblos a las ciudades para trabajar en las fábricas.
There was also a revolution in transport. The bicycle and the automobile were invented in the 19th century. Thanks to the steam locomotive, materials and people could be transported much more quickly.
También hubo una revolución en el transporte. La bicicleta y el automóvil fueron inventados en el siglo XIX. Gracias a la locomotora, materiales y personas podían ser transportados mucho más rápido.
There was also a revolution in communication. With the invention of the telegraph, telephone and radio, people could communicate more quickly and over greater distances.
Hubo también una revolución en la comunicación. Con la invención del telégrafo, el teléfono y la radio, la gente podía comunicarse más rápido y a través de largas distancias.
